Formerly known as the Run for Women.
This year’s 35th race is scheduled for August 10, 2024 at 10 am. The event consists of two certified races: 5K and 10K courses on a multi-looped, paved road winding through the streets of downtown Kenai. (Course map available on race day.) Courses are wheelchair accessible. The Start and Finish Line is located at the Kenai City Park on Main Street Loop.(Across from First National Bank Alaska.)
It’s a fun, healthy community event that highlights resources available through our agency and focuses attention on our mission to promote healthy families and a violence-free community. Bibs can be picked up the day before or the morning of. Your registration fee covers your swag bag and tee shirt. Any money raised, beyond the cost of hosting the Run, will go directly to client services.
Registration is open to all.
RACE DAY DETAILS:
• Park at First National Bank/Mall lot. There is no parking on the street, please.
• Check-in from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on race day at Kenai City Park (early check-in
is encouraged.)
• Group stretch & warm-up will be held at the park at 9:45 a.m.
AWARDS & PRIZES: Awards ceremony will be held at noon in the Kenai City Park.

9th. $25.00 on race day. Participants may support LeeShore’s efforts to end violence in our community by obtaining pledges for the Run.

We are very excited to have this run back in action for the public and look forward to seeing everyone next year at the 35th Violence Free Community Run on August 10th, 2024!
This year we had 83 runners. 76 for the 5K and 7 for the 10K.
Thank you to Skinny Raven for coming down from Anchorage to provide run bibs and certified times for all run participants.
We would like to give a huge thank you to Kenai Police Department for holding our flagging class, all of our sponsors, every business and individual who donated, all our wonderful volunteers, and Merrill Sikorski for being our Master of Ceremonies for the event!
